Description
A fine pair of French First Empire gilt bullion epaulettes, richly embroidered and retaining dense coiled bullion fringe, likely for a colonel or senior field officer of the Napoleonic period. The elaborate goldwork reflects the high quality military tailoring associated with elite French officers during the Empire period.
