Description
A rare blown glass wine bottle coaster of shallow circular form, finely wheel-engraved with the crowned imperial cypher “N” beneath an Imperial crown, the restrained neo-classical decoration characteristic of luxury French table glass produced during the First Empire period. Executed in clear lead glass of elegant simplicity, the coaster reflects the refined taste associated with the imperial household and court services of Napoleon.
