Gilt button from the uniform of a member of the Imperial Guard and general staff.
Description
Circular gilt-brass uniform buttons for members of the Imperial Guard and General Staff. The finely embossed faces retains traces of their original gilding, while the reverse is formed from bone, wood or metal, some still preserve fragments of thread from the garment to which it was once attached.
