Description

Published in Milan by the Reale Stamperia for the year 1813, the Almanacco Reale was the official court and administrative almanac of the Napoleonic Kingdom of Italy. It contains information relating to the royal household, government, civil and military administration, and the principal institutions and office-holders of the Kingdom. The title page is prominently engraved with the royal arms of Napoleonic Italy.

This copy is preserved in a particularly handsome red leather binding, richly tooled in gold with decorative borders and numerous gilt stars. The upper cover bears the crowned arms of the Kingdom of Italy in gilt, indicating the volume has come from the library of Prince Eugene, vice-roi d’Italie.
